Get yourself to Cambridge on the day,
And we’ll sort a bus the rest of the way.

If making your own way, lots of cabs
Or plenty of Ubers are up for grabs.

Catherine loves bright colours
(As you may be aware.)
So we’d love as much colour
As possible there.

But we DON’T like all the pressure
To buy every outfit new.
So if you CAN rewear, or borrow,
Or buy second-hand, please do.

Pack their bags and get excited –
We love your kids, they’re all invited

A traditional activity,
Defined – and here I quote:
‘You use a really big long pole
To push a wooden boat.’

Anyone can punt, with just
A little skill and strength.
And this is what we plan to do
On Sunday, May the 10th.

To extend the celebrations
And to banish aching heads,
We’ll hire a fleet of punts
And we’ll punt to Granny Meds.*

We’ll bring a yummy picnic,
Fill our glasses to the brim.
We’ll eat drink and be merry,
And the brave may have a swim.

What you lack in confidence
You’ll make up for in gains.
So as we said this is the plan –
Unless of course, it rains.
